I have to replace the magenta and yellow cartridges again, but when they're empty I'm buying a better printer. I, too, find that I have to replace the cartridges WAY too fast for the small amount of printing I do -- and cartridges for this model are NOT refillable.
The company that AMAZON deals with has not cust service skills. They sent me Yello and when I called they refused to reship items. STAY AWAY
